Gene Ontology Pathways
The Gene Ontology (GO) project is a collaborative effort to address the need for consistent descriptions of gene products in different databases. The GO consists of three ontologies: biological processes, cellular components and molecular functions in a species-independent manner. Genes obtained from GO were selected according to the following criteria of GO evidence: EXP, IC, IDA, IEP, IGI, IMP, IPI. More information about GO evidence codes can be obtained from Guide to GO Evidence Codes.
